Shanghai Tesla factory increases capacity

26 Oct 2020

Chinese media reports have stated that around 7,000 Tesla Model 3s, made at the Shanghai Gigafactory, will soon arrive Belgium to be distribute to many countries including Germany, France, Italy, the Netherlands, Portugal, Switzerland, and Sweden.
The shipment and business have carried on despite the ongoing coronavirus pandemic, which has put most sectors on hold. The virus allegedly emerged late last year in the Chinese city of Wuhan and spread all around the globe. China has had over 91,000 cases of the virus.
The second wave of the virus has continued to stall business in the United States and Europe and countries in the West.
The car company produced 143,036 vehicles in the third quarter, according to its CEO Elon Musk. The Shanghai factory holds 250,000 units a year – having only opened a year ago.
48,442 of its U.S.-made Model S and Model X cars that were sold to customers in China are to be recalled by Tesla due to claims hinting that they are faulty and unsafe.
Tesla did not comment on this matter.
